Cecil Robert "Bob" Akley, 86, of Smithville died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He lived in Smithville, coming here from St. Louis. He was a pilot in the U.S. Navy.
Cecil was also married to Mary Louise Adams, 24 August 1940, Rolla, Phelps County, Missouri.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Goforth of the home; a special niece, Tina Patton; two grandchildren, Viola Green and Cecil Robert Keeling; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held in Old Lebanon Cemetery near Lynn.
Arrangements were by House-Gregg Funeral Home Chapel.
