The subject of this sketch, Mr Harrison Pence, son of John and Barbara Pence, was born in Mad River Twp, this county, October 25, 1832, and entered into rest September 21, 1908, aged 75 years, 11 months and 4 days. He was married to Maria Catharine Fitzpatrick in Urbana, January 24, 1866. To this union, eight daughters and three sons were born. Two sons and two daughters have gone on before. He leaves a widow, six daughters, one son, several grandchildren, an aged brother and sister to mourn his departure.
