Beloved husband of Dorothy Keller Laurent. Survived by daughters, Marie Maddy Lewis, Linda M. Steib; sons, Simeon A. and Errol Laurent all of Vacherie, LA.; two daughters-in-law Joyce Philips and Louise Laurent; 35 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, Maria Harris, Rita Jones, Genevieve Magee and Nezzie Laurent, one son-in-law, Russel Steib.
Preceded in death by his parents Davis and Auralie Steib Laurent, five brothers, Henry, George, Joseph, Maurice and Edward Laurent; four sisters, Rose and Sadie Dumas, Selena Fergerson, Cloudia Baptist; two sons, Martin Philips, and Dickie Laurent; two grandsons, Erwin Steib and Renard Green.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 13281 Highway 644, Vacherie, LA. Interment in church mausoleum.
