Sudden Death.

It is our painful duty to record the very sudden death of one of our best citizens - Thomas Gailey. Mr. Gailey left his residence about a mile from Mt. Vernon school house, nine miles northeast of this city, last Sunday morning, on foot accompanied by his family, went to the school house where church services were being held, and during the sermon, feeling indisposed went outside. He was immediately attacked with hemorrhage and died in about a half hour. Mr. Gailey was to be received into full membership in the church at that service, but when the hour arrived instead of being received into the church of Christ on earth, his soul was ushered into the presence of its maker in the Heavenly tabernacle. Mr. Gailey was about fifty years of age and leaves a family to mourn his loss. "In the midst of life we are in death."
