Norma Dean Green, age 93, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Norma was born October 23, 1927.
Norma was born and raised most of her early years in Moore, Oklahoma. The family moved to Tuttle for several years until they moved to Norman during Norma's senior year of High School. Norma graduated from Norman High in 1945. On February 20, 1948, Norma and Beryl Green were united in marriage. They spent 34 years together before his passing in August of 1982. For about 10 years, Norma worked at Southwestern Bell as a switchboard operator. In her later years, Norma was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Marla Caldwell and husband Jesse, Pamela Bell and husband Eugene, Sandra Houston and husband William; brother, Delmar Ives and wife Neva; grandchildren, Shannon Richards and husband Lance, Brad Bell, Beau Caldwell and wife Jennifer, Trae Caldwell and wife Celeah, Drew Caldwell, Newt Houston and wife ZaBrina, Marcia Leung and husband Jeremy; great grandchildren, Marshall, Ian, Shane, Garrett, Allison, Pierce, Avery, Justice, Ben, Jack, James, Evie, Sophie, Tanner, Brayden, Camryn, Carter, Evan.
Preceded in death are her husband, Beryl Green; parents, Charles William and Rachel Ives; sister Donna Crawford.
A graveside service for Norma will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Norman IOOF Cemetery, 1913 N. Porter ave, Norman, OK 73071.
