Alex Edmond Banner, 21, of Exeter, RI passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2021. Born in Providence, he was the loving son of Sharon (Breault) Johnson, known as a son to Chris Johnson, and the son of Brian Banner.
Alex was a senior at the University of Rhode Island, scheduled to graduate in the Spring of 2022 on the Dean's List. He attended Attleboro High School and graduated from Exeter-West Greenwich High School. Throughout high school, he was an avid lacrosse player where he was named captain his senior season.While in middle school, he played basketball for St. John the Evangelist School. Alex was a bright light and his smile lit up any room he was in.
Besides his parents he is survived by his brothers, Brady Banner, Trenton Johnson, and Nolan Johnson;his maternal grandmother, Mary-Lou Breault; his uncle and godfather, Steven Breault; aunts Jackie Hervieux, Rhonda March, Belinda Duva, Uncle Ronald Banner, and his girlfriend, Brittany Newton. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Edmond Breault and his paternal grandparents, Maureen and Ronald Banner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11 am at Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from4-7 pm at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield.
