William F. Carmody Jr.
WELLESLEY - William F. Carmody Jr., 77, of Wellesley, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007.
He was the husband of the late Barbara (Tinker) Carmody.
Mr. Carmody retired as police captain from the Waltham Police Department.
He leaves four sons, William F. Carmody III of Walpole, N.H., John Carmody of Waltham, James Carmody of Northborough and Kevin Carmody of Chicago, and three daughters, Carol Doucette of Houston, Susan Long of Bedford, and Jayne Weinberg of Dresden, Maine; two sisters, Rosemary McNamara of Sudbury and Anne Hendrickson of Florida; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will take place Monday, Nov. 26, at 10 a.m., at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home (www.nickersonbournefuneralhome.com), 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne.
Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
A visiting hour will be held Monday, Nov. 26, from 9 to 10 a.m., prior to the service.
