She was born on June 29, 1936, in Nebraska, a daughter of Walter and Elma Sparks Merrill. She married David Lott in 1955 in Missouri. He passed away on February 22, 1992.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Lott, Dave (Deann) Lott and Steve Lott; two daughters, Kathy Lott and Gretchen Hatton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and special friend, Laurie Shoup.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and daughter-in-law, Amy Lott.
Bernice worked at the Shell/DuPont plant for 17 years in El Paso. She was part of the Red Hat Society. Bernice enjoyed going to Tanner's Orchard and Eureka Lake. She also did water aerobics at the Eureka College swimming pool.
Private funeral services will be held at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka. Pastor Dave Steinbeck will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 10 - 11 a.m. at the Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka. Burial will be in the Olio Township Cemetery in Eureka.
