Betty Jane Bradford - Lawson, of Easley, South Carolina was born on April 27, 1933 in Washington, D.C. and she went home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at her home. She completed her education with a GED and she was a manager in the food service industry for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, doing word search puzzles, playing on her computer and she loved caring for her pets and her flowers. Most importantly, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and her grandchildren. She moved to Easley from Altoona, Pennsylvania in 2003 and she attended Greer Memorial Baptist Church whenever she was able to. Betty is preceded in death by her mother, Quintie Redmon; her husbands, Lionel Bradford and Benjamin Lawson; her son, Robert Bradford; her daughter, Lynn Marie Hoption; her grandson, Stanley Bradford and her great grandson, Drake Sharretts. Betty is survived by her children, Peggy Covington and Pam Smith of South Carolina, Betty Hay of Minnesota, Diane Bradford, Darlyne Bradford, Sharon Swope, Danny Bradford and Joey Bradford all of Pensylvania and Lonnie Bradford and Jean Carpinone of Maryland; thirty grandchildren; forty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

A memorial service to remember and honor Betty's life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Community Worship Center, 1300 Bald Eagle Avenue in Tyrone, Pennsylvania 16686. Graveside burial services will follow at the Grandview Cemetery , 787 Forsht Lane in Altoona, Pennsylvania
