James Edward Garrett, age 63, of Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 1999 at his residence. He was born October 21, 1936 in Polk County. Mr. Garrett was a mechanic and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Lula Underwood Garrett and two brothers, Albert and Tony Garrett. Surviving are fiancée, Elizabeth Garrett; daughter, Dawn Harderman of Cartersville; three sisters, Lois Presley of Powder Springs; Audrey Seabrook of Marietta; Margie Seabrook of Bremen; two brothers, Rev. Lawrence Garrett and Elmer Garrett both of Rockmart. One grandson also survives. Funeral services were held Thursday, November 18, at 2 p.m., from Bellview Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. Interment followed in Bellview Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Anthony Summerville, Johnny Summerville, Night Darrell Presley, Larry Garrett, Mark Stell and Denny Wayne Garrett. Freeman Harris Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.

James Garrett was my father my last name was mispelled my name is Dawn Hardeman. He now has 5 grandchildren I would like listed and my husbands name listed as well his name is James Hardeman. my children names are Jimmy, Bradley, Autumn, Summer, and Hayden Hardeman. He also had a son thats passed away his name is Tim Hollis I would like for his name to be mentioned as well. Thank you very much for making these changes for me it would mean the world to me if these changes were made.
