Olivia C.DuBose married Dr G.W. McElrath in 1871 in Marengo County. She was the daughter of Joel Campbell DuBose 1804-1856 and Esther Guerin Cleland 1814-1862. The 1850 Marengo County, Alabama Census shows O.C. DuBose born 1830 with a brother Maybank. Banks DuBose was visiting his sister Olivia C. McElrath per the 29 Jan 1885 edition of the Choctaw Herald in Butler AL. Mrs O.C. McElrath is buried next to her sister Mrs S.D. "Nan" Cook at Bladon Springs Cemetery per Nan Cook's obituary of 1902.
