The Bridgeport Post, September 19, 1968

Louis L. Galpin, 85, of Hillside home, died today. Services will take place tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Ihe Dennis and D`Arcy funeral home, 2611 Main street, Stratford. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

A native of New Haven, Mr. Galpin had resided in Bridgeport most of his life.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Susan Doran, of Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews.

Louis was a Foreman at the Remington Manufacturing Company.

He had brown hair and hazel eyes & was 5'6" medium build with a ruddy complexion.

He lived with his mother, until her death in 1924.

In 1942, when he registered for the World War II draft, he was 59 and lived at the Hillside Hospital.

He had never married.
