C. J. Hodges Rites to Be Held Today
Charles J. Hodges, Jr., 30, of 2823 Williams street died shout 9:20 p.m. Sunday at a local hospital. A life-long resident of Shreveport, he was a veteran of World War II and an employe of the Atlas Refining company. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Rose-Neath chapel with the Rev B. F. Wallace, pastor of the Lake Shore Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery. Survivors are his widow; three sisters, Mrs. O. M. Short of Shreveport, Mrs. Horace Stewart of Leesville and Mrs. Ralph Bricker of Oklahoma City, Okla.; his father, C. J. Hodges, Sr., of Shreveport; and mother, Mrs. Lillie Post Hodges of Shreveport. Pallbearers will be George Sinclair, H. E. Smith, Charles Chesser, Ted Bounds, John Landrum, and Clifford Watson.
