MRS. JAMES BRITTON
Belle Evora Kirk, daughter of James and Elizabeth (Dulaigh) Kirk was born in Ohio, Demeber 4, 1861, and passed away after a brief illness at the Warren memorial Hospital at Friend, Jun 12, 1952, having reached the age of 90 years, 6 months and 8 days. In early childhood her parents died and she was taken to be raised by the D. O. Hane family who resided 8 miles south of Dorchester. She was united in marriage to W. O. Moser on Dec. 4, 1884, in Dorchester. To this union were born six children, two of whom survive.
Mr. Moser died in 1892, and she was married to James Britton on Sep. 10, 1895. To this union was born one daughter, who survives her. Mr. Britton died in 1925 and she moved into Dorchester where she has resided for the past 26 years.Mrs. Britton was a member of the Methodist church which she attended as long as health permitted. She was a kind, loving mother and will be greatly missed by her family. She was able to care for herself and do her own housekeeping until about a month ago.
She was preceded in death by four children, Frank J., Hattie B., Willis O. Moser; and Jennie M. Nichols, also two grandchildren, Clyde Moser and Willis Oran Nichols. She leaves to mourn her loss, one son, Ray O. Moser, Gillette, Wyo.; two daughters, Mrs. E. B. Thompson, Friend and Mrs. W. E. Sanburn of Dorchester, one step-son, Gilbert Britton of Colton, Ore., twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren besides many other relatives and friends. Interment was in the Dorchester cemetery.
