She was born April 4, 1908, in El Reno, Okla., the daughter of Lemual Harvey Wiedman and Anna Elizabeth Kessler.
In 1930 she married Garland "Doc" Burgess in Klamath Falls. He preceded her in death in 1964.
Survivors include her grandson, Michael Hand; nieces, Sally Mcelrath, Judy Mathews, Betty Baker and Elaina Petty; nephews, Darvin Petty and Bobby Ray Lamka; six great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughters Bernice Palmer in 1999, DeAnna Montgomery this year, and a son Jim Burgess in 1982.
Family members said Mrs. Burgess "will be greatly missed as she was the centerpiece and foundation of our family."
