James Patton was the son of William and Sarah (Williams) McCord. He married Sarah 'Sallie' Vick in 1884 and they were the parents of eight children: Willard Lee, Lola, Lewis Elmer, Ervie, Glenn, Kittie Ida, Altie Beulah, and William Glenn.

Final Rites Held For
James Patton McCord

Last rites were held Monday afternoon for James Patton McCord, 83, of 2802 Plumb who died Saturday. Services were held in the Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum, with burial in Yoakum.
Survivors are: sons, Glenn and Willard McCord of Houston; daughters, Mrs. J. R. Hood, Houston, Mrs. A. Baumgarten, San Antonio, Mrs. Tom Miller, San Gabriel, California, and Mrs. R. L. Martin, Manhattan Beach, California.
