She was born June 18, 1921, in Auburn, Iowa, the daughter of Albert Michael Pugh and Mayme Daisy (Lawson) Pugh. On November 22, 1940, in Fremont, Nebraska, she married Lloyd Edward Harris, who preceded her in death September 3, 1987.
Mrs. Harris worked at the International Shoe Factory in Windsor for over 14 years and then at the Unitog Factory in Clinton, Mo., for 21 years. June loved working crossword puzzles and word search puzzles. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, all kinds of flowers and baking her favorite banana bread. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Windsor; and a former member of the Henry County Council for "OATS" and was a charter member of the Nightowl Neighbor Extension Homemakers Group.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula Hampton and her husband, Ross, Windsor, Mo.; 3 sons, Jerry Edward Harris and his wife , Judy, Clinton, Mo.; Ronald Harris, Windsor, Mo.; Michael (Mickey) Harris, Concordia, Mo; 2 brothers, Clyde Pugh, St. Charles, Illinois; Kenneth Pugh, Lake View, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Peters and a brother, Mahlon Pugh.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 7th , at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Rev. Mary Lou Toft officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
