A. Lorraine Mortensen, 77, of Eleanor passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at home following a long illness.

She was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship, Buffalo. Born April 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Leaham Mills and Ruby Hedges. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kem L. Mortensen; brother, Vernon Mills; sisters, Agnes Hines and Regena Garrette.

Survivors include loving husband of 60 years, Andrew N. Mortensen whom she married on June 19, 1947; son, Keith D. Mortensen of Texas; sister, Delores Chaney of Maryland; brothers, Leon Mills of Virginia, Leonard Mills of Maryland; half-brother, Eugene Hedges of Virginia; along with two grandchildren; and 22 nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with Pastor Jim Boggess officiating. Private burial will follow at West Virginia National Cemetery, Grafton. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Kanawha Hospice.
