Margaret "Peggy" Ann Sheehan, 75, of Chesterfield, MO, passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2001 at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Chesterfield. She was born June 24, 1926 the daughter of Francis and Josephine Mahoney Hergenrother in New Berlin, IL. She married Stuart Sheehan in New Berlin in 1955 and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1999.

Mrs. Sheehan graduated with a degree in dietetics from Fontbonne College. She was a homemaker, loving wife, and mother. She enjoyed bridge with dear friends, golf, art, playing the piano, and making others smile. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She made this world a better place by her presence.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild: Kevin, and a niece. She is survived by two daughters: Carol (husband, Steve) Pappas of St. Charles, MO, and Marian (husband, Jim) Calhoun of Inverness, IL; a son: Kevin (wife, Jana) of Peoria; seven grandchildren; a brother: Edward (wife, Mattie) Hergenrother of Palmyra, IL; one sister: Mary Frances "Bobbie" Sheehan of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Rev. John Ossola celebrant. Burial in Calvary Cemetery in Springfield.
