David Allen Furrow, 70, of Brooksville, Fla., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at Bayfront Health Brooksville.

David was born on Nov. 15, 1949, in Beckley, Raleigh County, W.Va., a son of Estel Furrow and Louise Allen Furrow. He came to Brooksville 18 years ago from Tampa, Fla. He worked in the construction field in electrical safety and maintenance and attended Community Baptist Church. He was a member of the Hernando Gardening Association, was an avid beekeeper, and was everybody's maintenance man.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois "Jean" Furrow; grandchildren, Mason Furrow and Madison Furrow; and his stepmother, June E. Furrow.

He is survived by his loving wife of two years, Edith "Darlene" Furrow; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Angela Furrow of Beaver, W.Va., and Ron and Jamie Furrow of Shady Spring, W.Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Cristy and Jay Jones of Shady Spring, and daughter Julie Furrow of Bridgeport, W.Va.; stepson and daughter-in-law, Todd and Terri Young; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Jamie Temple, Julie and Ed Gornik, Jodie and Matt Bell and Lori and Steve Sifford; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and June Furrow of Henrico, Va.; sisters-in-laws, Nancy McCord and her husband Keith and Anita McNinch and her husband Lee; 17 grandchildren; and special friend, Grace Francis.

A celebration of David's life was held on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at the family's home.
