Jessie Oleta (Clemmer) Gooch was born 9 Apr 1918 in Callahan Co., Texas. She was the fifth child of Robert Edward and Jessie Bell (Windland) Clemmer. She married Chess Lee Gooch on 29 Oct 1939 in Abilene, Taylor Co., Texas. To this union three children were born: Janet Lee, Donald Edward and Patsy Ruth. Chess and Oleta lived in Big Springs, Howard Co., Texas. Oleta passed away after a long fight with cancer.
