Mount Vernon—Ada V. Ewalt, 102, of Ohio Eastern Star Home, died October 23, 1994.

She was born March 3, 1892, in Bladensburg to Charles and Mary Alice (McWilliams) VanVoorhis. She was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Mount Vernon American Legion Auxiliary, a 73-year member of Knox Chapter 236 of the Order of Eastern Star, a 76-year member of Clinton and Dan Emmett Granges, and the last living member of the Mount Vernon High School graduating class of 1910.

She is survived by 2 sons, Charles E. Ewalt of Monroe and William R. Ewalt of Fredericktown; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell "Caddy" Ewalt, March 1, 1972; 5 brothers and 1 sister.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside service was this morning in Mound View Cemetery. The Rev. Rodney Buchanan officiated. The North-Dilley Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, 205 N. Mulberry Street, Mount Vernon 43050.
