Leroy "Marty" Martin Diehl, 70, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 at his home in Leavenworth, Ks. He was born on October 26, 1950 in Dodge City, Ks.the son of Roy L. and Verona M. (Kellogg) Diehl. He graduated from Jetmore High School in 1969 and received his Masters Degree in Psychology from Emporia State then went to work for Leavenworth Penitentiary before retiring.
He was of the Christian faith and was a member of the NRA. Marty was an avid gun collector and enjoyed spending time with family, especially nieces and nephews. He served in the United State Air Force.
Survivors include: two brothers, Sonny (Linda) Diehl of Fort Collins, CO., Ronnie (Jeri) Diehl of Jetmore, KS.; sister, Lorina (Gene) Mache of Schulenburg, TX. and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Jason Diehl.
Memorial graveside service will be held in the Fairmount Cemetery at a later date with military honors provided by United State Air Force and Chester Hawkins American Legion Post #290.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Chester Hawkins American Legion Post# 290 in care of Beckwith Funeral Home.
