Of Framingham died Wed, Nov 7, 2007 at Mary Ann Morse Nursing & Rehab Center, Natick. Born Saxonville, MA Oct 24, 1911. Daughter of Charles Alexander & Margaret Cowles Esty. Predeceased by her siblings Margaret Esty Seamans, Frederick Cowles Esty, Priscilla Esty Tweddell & Charles Cowles Esty. Surviving are several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews & a sister in law. She was a lifelong activist for housing rights & peace. She was involved with Framingham Committee for Nuclear Weapons Freeze & Working Group to Reduce Military Spending. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, Nov 16 at 2 PM at the First Parish (Unitarian Universalist), 24 Vernon St, Framingham. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to First Parish in Framingham, 24 Vernon St, Framingham, MA 01701 or Doctors Without Borders, 333 Seventh Ave, 2nd Flr, New York, NY 10001. Burial will be at a later date in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.
