He was born June 5, 1927 in Pikeville, Kentucky, a son of the late Hammond and Sylvia Hill Coleman.
He was a proud retiree of General Motors. He loved life, people, a cold beer and enjoyed music and dancing.
Ira missed his late wife, Ginger Rae Bailey Coleman, whom he loved dearly.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda Kerns, Donna Bowen and Debra Moore; step-children, Karen Hoff and Charles Clancy; grandchildren, Vicki, Justin, April, Chase, Tyler, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Austin, Bailey, Laurel, Dylan, Colin, Kendalyn, Ashlyn, Madalyn and Luxon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ginger; daughter, Joy Darlene and his brothers and sisters.
