Herman A. Janke, 94, of 3029 North Ave., died on Thursday morning, Nov. 9, 1995 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center.
Herman was born Sept. 16, 1901 in Bonevesta, Portage County, Wis., a son of the late Herman and Hulda (Matin) Janke. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School in Sheboygan.
On Dec. 20, 1925, he was united in marriage to Adelia Graefe et Bethlehem Lutheran Church, She preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 1985.
Herman was employed at Dillingham Manufacturing, retiring in 1965. Herman was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Herman is survived by a son, Kenneth (Elvira) Janke, Sheboygan; two daughters, Charleen (William) Schloseky, Sheboygan; and Mary Ann (John) Walker, Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren, Aaron Schloseky, Steven Anderson, Terri Lyon, Lorri Trossen, Melinda Oetzel, Noel Janke, Andrew Janke, Evelyn Janke and Kendra Janke; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Al Janke, Sheboygan and a sister, Anna Adam, Sheboygan.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and a daughter.
Funeral services for Herman will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Ramm-Ziegler-Novak-Rettke Funeral Home, Southside Chapel. The Rev. Robert Stellwagen will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 1535 S. 12th St., on Friday (TONIGHT) from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services
