One of Boone county’s prosperous and well known farmers in the person of Louis A. Ahrens, died at his home in Dodge township Saturday morning, after a brief illness. Death was due to congestion of the bowels. The funeral services were Tuesday morning at 10:00 o’clock from the family residence. Rev. Kulp, pastor of the German Lutheran church, officiated and the remains laid to rest in the German Lutheran cemetery near Mackey. The family and relatives of the deceased have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
