Mark R. Hoerath, 53, of Bourbon, Missouri passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at Missouri Baptist Hospital – Saint Louis.

Mark Raymond Hoerath was born January 10, 1968 in Sullivan, Missouri to James and Frances (Kruczynski) Hoerath. He grew up and attended school in the Sullivan area and then went to work for various local businesses.

Mark's biggest blessing in life was the birth of his daughter Brianna. He loved Brianna so dearly. Sadly, Brianna passed away unexpectedly at the age 12.

Mark faced hardships through his life, such as losing Brianna, but he never failed to always continue to be selfless and so caring of others. He would do anything for anyone. He was a big-hearted man that would give the shirt off of his back for someone in need. Mark was also was employed for a longer period of time at Aerophil in Sullivan.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially on the Meramec River. He loved to throw darts and play pool wherever there was a pool table. He was also a very avid Saint Louis Cardinals fan. He will be so dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Mark is survived by his two sisters, Vicki Burchett and husband Darrell of Leabanon, IN, Donna Monshower and husband Gary of Sullivan, MO; two brothers, Fred Hediger and wife Brenda of Saint Clair, MO and James Hoerath and wife Linda Jo of Longview, TX; other relatives and many other friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Brianna; his parents; grandparents; uncles; aunts; and his cousin, Bret Simpson.

Funeral Service will be 12:00 PM, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home

Interment will follow at Bourbon Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help cover funeral costs.
