Owen D. Goodnough, 90 of Spearfish, South Dakota passed away Friday, November 30th 2007 at Dorsett Regional Senior Care in Spearfish.

Owen was born November 12th 1917 in Bowman County, ND to Oliver and Amanda (Hoth) Goodnough. As a young man he worked for various farms in the area and worked for the Civilian Conservation Corp from 1937 to 1939. In 1972 he moved with his family to the Spearfish area. With the opening of the Northern Hills Training Center he became a client there, working at the center until his retirement.

Owen is survived by his sister, Norma Anderson of Billings, MT, numerous nieces and nephews including; Ruthie Goodnough Weiers, of Spearfish, Rob Goodnough of Pine Haven, WY, Ryne (Beth) Goodnough of Gillette, WY, Warren Dunn of Buffalo, Carol Dunn Woodruff of Belle Fourche and Vickie Dunn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Russell Goodnough and sister-in-law Virginia Goodnough Baker, Francis Goodnough and Gerald Goodnough and sisters; Priscilla Dunn, Mildred Gray and Ruth Goodnough.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 7th 2007 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spearfish with Pastor Ken Fouty officiating. Burial will take place at the Bowman Cemetery, Bowman, North Dakota.

Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.
