Mrs. June Ricketts Stephan, age 91, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on December 24, 1929 in Madison, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Albert Craig and Margaret Emma "Maggie" Bott Ricketts. She was a 1948 graduate of Madison High School and a lifelong resident of Madison. On August 10, 1957 she was united in marriage to William Frederick "Bill" Stephan at St. Mary's Catholic Church in downtown Madison. This union was blessed with a daughter, Julie, and a son, Gary. She was a trust officer at the former Madison Bank & Trust Company for 17 years, retiring in December 1963. June was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She delighted in the Holidays, especially in decorating for Easter and Christmas, and she enjoyed sewing, baking cakes, quilting, cultivating flowers, and raising vegetables. June died on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 4:45 p.m. at the Water's of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana.

June will be missed by her loving husband of 64 years, William Frederick "Bill" Stephan of Madison, Indiana; her loving daughter, Julie Anne Orben and her husband Christopher of Columbus, Indiana; her loving son, Gary David Stephan and his wife Cheryl of North Huntington, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Devon Orben, Kristen Orben, Corrine Orben, Levi Stephan and Ashlynn Stephan; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Craig Ricketts, died September 5, 1934, her mother, Margaret Emma"Maggie" Bott Ricketts, died July 26, 1963, her brothers, Albert Dale Ricketts, died November 4, 1915, Walter Edward Ricketts, died February 7, 1985, Louis E. Ricketts, died March 13, 1990, William Albert Ricketts, died June 11, 1996 and Charles Francis Ricketts, died August 15, 1953, her sisters, Doris Mae "Dottie" Kasper died April 30, 1986, Jessie Margaret Burkhardt, died April 10, 1997, Mildred Mitchell and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Schnieder, died April 8, 1976.
