Joan B. Rich, 92, of Fayetteville, died peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born in Providence, RI, and graduated from Cranston High School and attended Barrington Junior College. Joan worked for Blue Cross in Boston and Syracuse.
She was a longtime communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fayetteville; helped with Sunday School and in later years worked weekly at the Nearly New Shop. She was an active member of the "Hot Buns" bowling league at Fayetteville Bowl.
Joan was an amazing mother to her sons and to all of their friends. Joan traveled worldwide with her husband, Don. Her special place was Conway Lake in New Hampshire where she spent more than 40 summers.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Donald G. Rich; two sons, Steven (Gail) Rich and Peter (Carol); grandchildren, Sarah, Daniel, Joshua, Monica and Andrew; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, David.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 23, at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. Private burial will be in Fayetteville Cemetery.
