Gertrude was the daughter of Alfred Khristian Celius and Emilie 'Emilia' Tørresen Simonsen, wife of Lawrence L. Aarreberg. Gertrude Solvig Aarreberg, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home with her son Gregory and his wife Janet by her side on October 1, 2012, at the age of 96. Gertrude was born in San Francisco the daughter of a sea Captain and his wife both emigrants of Norway. She married Laurance Aarreberg August 17, 1937, also the son of Norwegian parents. Gertrude and Laurance moved to Pacifica in 1954 and were married for 49 very, very happy years. Gertrude had many friends and lived an active, happy life. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for anyone she met and will be missed by everyone.
