Ray resided in Barling, Arkansas. He retired from Whirlpool, Inc. in Fort Smith and was an U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Deronda (Johnson) Daniel; his son, Ray Daniel, Jr. of Fort Smith; a step-son, Mark Barrera of Downey, California; one brother, William Daniel of Barling; one sister, Billie Sue James of Hagarville, Arkansas; a granddaughter, Sarah Brown; two step-grandson's, Jeffrey Barrera of Lakewood, California and John A. Barrera of Omaha, Nebraska. He leaves behind multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24th at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, with Bro. Randy Craig and Bro. Edward Ellis officiating. All services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
