Son of Ezra Winfield & Mertie Leo Corley Rutledge.

Jessie J. Rutledge, age 72 of Belleville, AR died Sunday, August 8, 1999 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. He was born June 7, 1927 in Stafford, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Ezra W. and Mertie Corley Rutledge. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Belleville, AR. where he served as Sunday school superintendent for 39 years, a member of the church trustee board, and a lay minister. He retired from Wayne Poultry Hatchery in Danville after 30 years of employment.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Doyle Rutledge and Ora Rutledge.

Survivors are his wife of fifty years, Jewel Rheuark Rutledge; two daughters and son-in-law, Janice and George Morris and Joyce Rutledge all of Belleville, AR; one brother, Troy Alton Rutledge of Lake Waccamaw, NC; three sisters, Ova Taylor of Amarillo, TX, Ocie Loyd of Belleville, AR and Faitha Mae Griffith of Magazine, AR and several nephews, nieces and friends.

Services were August 10, 1999 at the Assembly of God Church in Belleville with Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Interment was in Russell Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR.
