Margaret Stearns Polley, age 67 of Philadelphia, Tennessee passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Fort Loudoun Medical Center.

Margie was born to the late Leo Gordon and Margaret Angeline (Maynard) Stearns in Lansing, Michigan. Margie's family relocated to Austin, Texas where she spent her formative years, married, and started her own family. Margie and her husband, Mark, landed in Loudon County, Tennessee, where they introduced Tennessee people to Texas Barbeque. They started the Taste-O-Texas BBQ Restaurant to the delight of many and it is a quaint family-operated business. Margie loved life and enjoyed many things such as … animals, bowling, scuba diving, sewing, music, and especially her family.

Margie left us too soon and will be sorely missed by her devoted husband of 46 years, Mark Polley; sons, Todd Polley Austin and Crystal Polley; granddaughter, Emma Elizabeth Polley, all of Oak Ridge; brothers, Lance (Florence) Albineau, Joseph Allan Stearns, Leo Gordon (Kathy) Stearns; sisters, Michelle (Ike) Moya and Elizabeth (Richard) Long, all of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services honoring and remembering Margie Polley will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, Sept. 19th in the McGill Click Chapel. If you desire, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Tennessee, 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 or to the Loudon County Humane Society, P.O. Box 602, Lenoir City, TN 37771

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM prior to the service at McGill Click Funerals & Cremations.

After a short illness, Margie passed with loved ones near her and was surrounded by all the love from family and friends who could not be with her.

She will be missed more than she could ever imagine.
