Jackie Van Harris was born February 27, 1957 in Hinton, OK, to Jerald Van and Reva Joanne (Tackett) Harris. He passed away at his home in Binger, OK, on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the age of 64. Jackie grew up in Oney and graduated from Oney High School. He enlisted in the US Army in 1975 and served 4 years. He married Linda Callahan on March 25, 1977 in the Oney Baptist Church. He then reenlisted in 1980 and served a total of 16 years. When Desert Storm downsized, he left the Army as a Sgt. 1st Class. He worked all the time but loved spending time with Linda when he wasn't. Jackie worked for Braums Dairy in Tuttle for 13 years, then worked for Caddo County District #1 from 2007 to 2020 when he retired. He loved taking his grandchildren fishing at Dean Pack's pond.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents Jerald Harris and Reva Bailey, grandparents Daphna Tackett and Clint Tackett, and Elsie and Elgin Butler.
Survivors include, wife Linda of the home, 3 children, James Harris and wife Christy of Binger, OK, Brenda Lisenbery of Binger, OK, and Sherri Henderson and husband Jon of Anadarko, OK, grandchildren, Caityln and Kerry Hites of Lookeba, OK, Shane and Taysha Harris of Binger, OK, Trenton Lisenbery and Haley Wall, Bethany Lisenbery, Trevin Lisenbery of Binger, OK, Michael Henderson, Jonathan Henderson, Gabriel Henderson, and Matthew Henderson all of Anadarko, OK, 3 great grandchildren, Braxtyn Hites, Brooklyn Hites, Tynlee Harris and one on the way, siblings, Robert Harris and wife Debra of Chickasha, OK, and Jerry Smith of OKC, OK, and Leandra Galindo of Lawrence, KS, brother-in-law, Ronnie Callahan and wife Jane of Prague, OK and sister in law Judy Nix of Binger, OK, aunts, Wilma Pack of Binger, OK, and Danna Carter and husband Bryan, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
