Wayne Patrick Myers, 59 of Springfield passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 in his home after a long illness.

He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. He played drums in the Praise Band for the past 11 years and for the Red Neck Rockers Band. He was a truck driver and a mechanic throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Bernard Myers, uncle, Jesse Eugene Thomas and an aunt and uncle in Loretto PA

Wayne is survived by his wife Marietta Parrish Myers; mother Jeanne Myers; three brothers, Chris Myers and wife Vickie Myers, Mike Myers and wife Nancy Baker, and Patrick Myers and wife Helen Myers; an aunt Betti Jo Thomas all of Springfield; a niece, two nephews and two great-nephews along with m any cousins in Missouri and Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be at 2pm Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Gorman Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with John Svagera officiating. Burial will follow in the Panther Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1pm until service time.
