Phillip Roger Brown, born January 9, 1937 in Young Harris, GA and having lived in the Young Harris area all of his life, passed away on September 13, 2021 at the age of 84. He was among several children and the youngest son of the late Reverend Henry Judge and Maude Wood Brown.
A graduate of Towns County High School, Phillip was an employee of Arbor Acres for many years. He was a member of the Stephens Masonic Lodge #414 for over 60 years, being recognized and honored by its members for his service with a plaque in 2020. He was a member of West Union Baptist Church in Young Harris and loved being a part of that fellowship.
As well as loving the outdoors, nature and gardening, Phillip enjoyed and had an appreciation for the simplicities in life and thanking each day as a precious gift from God to be used by Him. He appreciated those who ministered to him and, in turn, he tried to help others.
Funeral services are to be held at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, Blairsville, GA ., on Thursday September_16, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Member of Stephens Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at West Union Baptist Church cemetery with Stephens Masonic Lodge #414 F&AM conducting Masonic rites.
