Anita is survived by her mother Jessica N. Arnet (Nadine Fea) of Buna, TX; brother, Robert A. Arnet and his spouse Sally T. Arnet of Sarasota, FL, James A. Arnet and his spouse Sherry C. Arnet of Flower Mound, TX; as well as nieces and nephews Amanda T. Arnet of Charlotte, NC, Abigail A. Miller of Findlay, OH, Chris J. Arnet of Mission Viejo, CA, Preston R. Arnet of Ft. Worth, TX and Robert C. Arnet of Flower Mound, TX. She is preceded in death by her father Colonel Robert A. Arnet of Austin, TX and nephew Stewart A. Arnet of Sarasota, FL.
Anita was born on May 2, 1963, in Frankfurt Germany to Nadine and Bob Arnet. She grew up in Austin, TX and graduated from Sam Houston University with a degree in Criminal Justice. After moving to Houston, Anita began her career working for State of Texas Parole and Pharmaceuticals Boards. She was always known for her kindness, sense of humor, positive attitude and faith in God. She had a tremendous love for her "pets" and was never without a horse or a cat and in her final years she even had a bull named Lucky. Her goal in life was to bring happiness to all that she met and especially those with cancer, from which she eventually succumbed.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 18th at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Silsbee, TX. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Anita Arnet. Visitation will be at 1:00 followed by the service to begin at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to (American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors, Texas Oncology select). The family would like to thank all of the special friends and family that were able to visit her, and the caregivers at Texas Oncology and Rosewood Assisted Living for their loving care.
