Muriel I. "Myrt" (Rock) (Irons) Courtney was the wife of the late William Irons and the late Edward J. Courtney Sr. She was the daughter of the late Wilfrid and Dora (Rivard) Rock. She had lived in Chelsea before moving to Billerica in 1951.
She was an active member of St. Theresa Church in Billerica, where she belonged to the prayer group and was a Eucharistic minister. She was a former member of St. Andrew Church and a member of its sodality.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; a brother; a sister; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Irene Courtney, and sister of the late Roland and Gerard Rock.
