"Alicestene L. Brockman, a loving mother and grandmother, became a portrait of herself through God's eye on Monday, November 5, 2012. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday at Wesley Chapel AME Church, 711 N.W. 29th Street. Pastor Darrell Turner and the Rev. R.J. Houston officiating. Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, with family hour 6 to 8 p.m., at the church. She was born July 17, 1923 in Fort Worth. Survivors: Sons, Trevor Brockman (Doris) and Danny Brockman; daughters, Ursula Brockman and Debra Brockman; grandchildren, Deirdre William, Rashida Brockman, Li C'Mone Perry, Le'Roy Perry, and Maya Brockman; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; and special cousin, Lucille Miller."
