Ms. Alberta "Lil' Sister" Benjamin Gray, 84 years old of Biloxi Mississippi, departed this life on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
Ms. Gray was born in Little River, Alabama on March 3, 1937, to Philip Benjamin, Sr. and Ella Lucille Benjamin Murphy. She is preceded in death by six siblings: Alonzo Tate, Phillip Benjamin Jr., James Benjamin, Ben Benjamin, Estelle "Dolly" Filmore, and her fraternal twin sister, Roberta Benjamin Porter; her great-great grandson, Ashton Terel Magee; and companion of sixteen years, Willie "Bill" May of Simpson County, MS.
She leaves to cherish her memory, the father of her three children, Bobbie F. Magee, Sr. of Sarasota, Florida; (Patricia) Bobby F. Magee, Jr. of Long Beach, MS; (Kenneth) Michelle Magee Wright and Rene Magee Harrien of Biloxi, MS; and her devoted niece, Delois Blow of Smithfield, Va.
Ms. Gray had 6 grandchildren: Anthony C. Magee, Jahna R. Magee, (Leslie) Michael Harrien, W. Andrew Magee, Bobby F. Magee III, and Lana Maria Harrien. Seventeen great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street in Gulfport, on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Friends are invited to visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Finley Cemetery, Hwy 53 in Gulfport.
