Obituary for Carole Fae Sexton
I will stay in your heart, and whenever you speak my name, I will Live and Live and Live.

Carole Fae Sexton, 84, passed away on December 27, 2016. She was born February 4, 1932 in Hooper, Utah to Elwood and Iona Child Flinders. She attended school in Hooper, High School in Nyssa, OR, and took some classes at BYU. She also graduated from the Oregon Police Academy. She married Marvin Wilson (divorced) and had seven children that she loved being a Mom to; Janalee Wilson, Jeredee Gibson (John), Jonee Vanderdasson (Tod), Edward Jay Wilson, John Elwood Wilson, Julee Vanderdasson (Ted), Jaimee Langston (Jerry). She was a Grammy to: David Gillies, Erica Wittwer, Trevor Gillies, Kori Jo Reynolds, Cameron Reynolds, Travis Vanderdasson, Ashley Jo Vanderdasson-Williams (Brian), Nichole Sanford (Jordan), Dakota Langston (Elena). She was G.G. to Travis & Kylee Wittwer, Ryland Travis Williams, and Braedon Gillies. She was a sister to Cleo Saunders (Lorin), Gail Johnson (Dick), Gerald Flinders, and also enjoyed a sister friendship with Clara Shaw and Marilyn Flinders. She is enjoying a fabulous reunion with her parents, Brother Gerald Flinders, Son Eddy Wilson, Grandson Travis Vanderdasson, and Son in Law Glen Reynolds.

She had a very interesting professional career. She worked for the Burns Police Department, the Pine Room Restaurant, Pioneer Bank, and a Salt Lake City flower shop. She was always a hard worker and she would put her shoulder to the wheel and get the job done.

Family, friends, and her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and her service in the Jordan River Temple were some of her most valued treasures. She loved painting with oils and water colors, we all have reminders of that talent in our homes. She loved flowers, sunshine and ALL things Yellow, and you can't forget her love for her red shoes and glasses. She also enjoyed the sounds and smells of the beach, which she visited any chance she could. She was a Jazz basketball fan and kept her mind sharp with crossword puzzles.

Within the last twelve years at Willowwood apartments she cherished the friendships she gained. She loved the visits and spoke of them often.

God can take a loved one from our homes, but never from our hearts. May tender memories lighten your sorrow and comfort you through each tomorrow.

I hope with all the notes of her life she left, and her handwriting as it was, we got this right….

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Hillcrest 5th Ward Building, 915 East Peach Blossom Drive (9045 South) Sandy, UT 84094. A viewing will take place preceding the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
