Rites Held Monday For Edward Conlon (sic)

Final services were accorded Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the St. Mary's church in DeKalb for Edward M. Conlin, 74, operator of a grain, feed and coal business in DeKalb for some 40 years, and a brother of James C. Conlin of Sycamore, who passed away early Friday afternoon at St. Mary's hospital, DeKalb. He had not been in good health for some time, and for the past two weeks had been critically ill. The Rev. Charles Quinn officiated and interment was in the St. Mary's cemetery.
Edward M. Conlin was born in Milan Township October 13, 1875 and was the son of John and Frances Roe Conlin. He was married to Emma Hickey on November 25, 1902, she having preceded him in death.
He started his grain, feed and local business in 1911, and was active in that until the time of his death. He was a member of the St. Mary's church, the Holy Name Society and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving his demise are one son, John R. Conlin of DeKalb; two daughters, Mrs. Edward McGirr and Mrs. Thomas J. Gallagher, both of DeKalb; 12 grandchildren and one brother, James C. Conlin.
