Luther H. Clark, 77, of Ligonier died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at his residence.
Born Dec. 29, 1920, in Ligonier Township, he was a son of the late Jonas E. and Ida (Swank) Clark.
Prior to his retirement in 1987, he had been employed by Latrobe Steel Co. for 31 years.
He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church of Ligonier, where he also served as a trustee. He was a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 1537 of Latrobe and the Latrobe Steel Retirees' Club.
Luther loved to spend time in his garden and always saw to it that his neighbors were supplied with fresh vegetables.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, James Dewitt, Carl, Paul and Lloyd Clark, and six sisters, Janet Egner, Mary Ray, Ella Muir, Blanche Crosby, Ruth Riffle and June Kissell.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Emma F. Dively Clark; his daughter, Mrs. Robert (Wanda) Nicely of Ligonier RD 5; son, Rodney L. Clark of Ligonier; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; four sisters, Irene Ambrose, Frances Clark, Grace Ambrose and Edith Orme, all of Ligonier, and a brother, Ford Clark of Ligonier.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 244 W. Main St., Ligonier.
Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Herbert G. Gates III officiating.
Burial will be in Ligonier Valley Cemetery, Ligonier Township.

Easter Sunday vows were exchanges between Miss Emma Florence Dively, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee H. Dively, Friedens R. F. D. 1. and Luther Harold Clark, son of Mrs. Ida Clark, 116 Indian St., Ligonier.
Rev. J. F. Messenger performed the double ring ceremony at the First Christian Church, Somerset.
The bride was given in marriage by Harry M. Dively, Friedens R. F. D. 1, a brother.
The couple will reside at 201 Chestnut St., Ligonier, after and eastern wedding trip.
Mrs. Clark, a graduate of Somerset High School, was employed by the Nancy Carol Corp., Boswell. Mr. Clark is employed by the Latrobe Steel Co.
