Ruby Oceola Hadnot, 77, died at 7:30 pm, Wednesday, June 2, 1993, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was a native of Pineville, a resident of Baton Rouge, and a former resident of Gillsburg, Mississippi and Durham, North Carolina.

Visiting at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Gillsburg, MS noon until religious services Saturday, June 5, 1993, conducted by the Rev. Scott Cappleman. Burial in the Stewart Wall Cemetery, Liberty, Mississippi.

Ruby was survived by a daughter, Mrs. D.R. (Shirley) Bowman, Durham, North Carolina, a son, Buddy Hadnot, Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. Bob Carpenter, Lafayette, Mrs. Bill Fox, St. Louis, Missouri, and Mrs. Evan Dauzat, Pineville; a brother, Herbert Stricker, California; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a niece, Florence "Cookie" Bell and a nephew, Ricky Roshto, both of Highwood, Illinois.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Hadnot.

She was member of the Hope Valley Baptist Church, Durham, and a former member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Gillsburg, Mississippi.
