Services for Millard Maxwell Billings, 74, of former executive vice president of Russell Grocery Co., will be 2 p.m. today at North Greenwood Baptist Church. Mr. Billings died of a heart attack Friday, Sept. 21, 1990, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Mr. Billings was a native of Bogalusa, La., and lived in Greenwood most his life. He retired as executive vice president of Russell Grocery Co. after 46 years of employment. He served as director and chairman of the Mississippi Board of Wholesale Grocers. Mr. Billings was a charter member and deacon of the North Greenwood Baptist Church. He was building chairman for the church. He was on the Greenwood Zoning Commission and was a member of the Kiwanis Club. Mr. Billings was active in Boy Scouts and organized and furnished his church's Boy Scout hut.

His survivors include his wife, Marguerite Billings of Greenwood; one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Mitchell of Memphis; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Brenda Billings of Memphis; two brothers, Luther Billings of Kosciusko and Leo Billings of Mesa. Ariz.; three sisters. Mrs. Joyce Luster of Memphis, Mrs. Elaine Gatta of Clinton, and Mrs. Evelyn Seibert of Baltimore; and four grandchildren. The Rev. Bobby Mullin will officiate. Entombment will follow in Odd Fellows Mausoleum. Wilson and Knight Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
