Caldwell, to whom she was joined in wedlock, December, 23, 1887. To this happy union 11 children were born, five boys and six girls. Two of the girls passed to the better world in infancy. She moved to Sac County in 1894, where she lived till 1907, then moved to Sulpher Springs, Buena Vista county, where she resided until called from labor to rest. She was one of ten children, six brothers and one sister survive her. Her illness was of a year’s duration.
She was converted and made her peace with God and patiently waited the summons. Conscious to the last, she called her loved ones about her, bidding them good bye and asked them to meet her in Heaven. She leaves a loving husband and nine children: Arthur, Edwin, Lloyd, Charles, Virgil, Roy, Gladys, Hazel and Avon, father, mother six brothers and one sister to mourn her departure. She was a model mother, kind. Loving and patient in suffering. Triumphant in death. She was brought to Pilot Mound where the services were conducted by Rev. W.M. Lelser, pastor of the M.E. church, text, Heb 2, 10. She was laid to rest in Bluff Creek cemetery to await the call of the resurrection morning.
