Bill was born March 9, 1916 to William F. Bailess and Emily Viestenz Bailess.
William married Margaret Jane Searle in 1939. Margaret passed away in 1995.
Bill married Lorraine S. Judd in 1996. Together, in 1999, they moved to Mesquite, Nevada to be close to Bill's only son, William Lee Bailess.
Bill spent his lifetime as a machinist. If a piece of machinery wasn't available or even made at the time—Bill made it. He always had time to help others repair, fix or assemble and he loved his family to come and visit. He was an amazing father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his son, Lee (Mary Lee) Bailess; brothers, Lawrence (Sandra) Bailess, Glen "Skip" Bailess; and sisters, Jackie (Paul) Goodfellow and Zelda Denver.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2007 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, at 12 Noon. Bill's viewing will be from 11:00-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
