Sarah Olive Downs was the daughter of Edward J Downs and Edna Janet (Acker) Downs, the granddaughter of Jacob Molar Acker and Sarah Olive (Burright) Acker.

OBITUARY
Sarah Olive Downs was born February 11, 1906 at Overton, Neb., and died at Elmcreek {sic}, June 17, 1915, being 9 years, 4 months and 6 days old. She was taken sick with diabetis {sic} last October and was taken to Huntington Beach, Calif., where she remained until May. From there she was brought to North Platte, and later moved to Elmcreek with her parents, where she contracted the measles which caused her death.

Last October she sent her name into the M. E. church at Overton, but was prevented becoming an active member by her sickness. She leaves to mourn her loss a father, mother, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church of this place, conducted by Pastor G. P. Bramel of the Christian church, Sunday, with interement {sic} in the Elmcreek cemetery.
